Principals with main residence in Bryan, Texas and other residences in Saratoga Springs, New York and Boca Grande, Florida are seeking a professional, experienced, creative, and detail-oriented full-time private chef. The schedule for position is on five days per week, which includes a combination of weekdays and weekends. Flexibility to work holidays and small events is required for position. Private chef must be willing to travel to other domestic residences throughout the year based on when principals are staying at these properties. Principals are at Saratoga Springs, New York property in June – September and spend time at Boca Grande, Florida residence throughout winter months (November – March) for various increments of time (e.g., long weekends, consecutive weeks, etc.). Private chef will receive schedule approximately one week in advance. The position requires extreme flexibility, which is based around principals’ schedules. Private chef is expected to prepare meals from scratch for breakfast and dinner. Principals typically are served breakfast at 9:00 / 9:30am and served dinner at 6:30 / 7:00pm. Private chef is also expected to prepare staff meals daily for domestic team at each property. Private chef is expected to send menu to estate manager and principals one week in advance for revision requests and/or approval. Candidates must be comfortable working collaboratively with family office and fully staffed semi-formal residences (e.g., estate manager, housekeepers, groundskeepers, etc.). Ideal candidate has a culinary degree or certificate, bachelor’s degree is ideal but not required, 5-10+ years of consistent and recent domestic experience as a full-time private chef, knowledgeable and experienced with clean and healthy cooking, creativity with menu planning and introducing principals to new foods, experienced following specific allergies and dietary restrictions / preferences, understands the importance of maintaining discretion, discreet and calm demeanor, comfortable working around extended family (children and grandchildren) and small hypoallergenic dog (Poodle), assertive, positive, proactive, organized, detail-oriented, service focused, kind, respectful, seeking longevity and has a flexible schedule. Uniform is provided and required (e.g., White chef jacket, black chef pants, chef shoes, etc.). Principals are open to local candidates and domestic relocations. Start date is flexible for the right candidate.
• Creativity in preparing healthy and clean meals that follow specified allergies and dietary restrictions / preferences (organic food required)
• Prepare meals with various types of cuisines (e.g., Italian, French, Asian, Southern, etc.) and willing to introduce principals to new foods
• Find and build relationships with local farmers at each location to source the freshest ingredients (e.g., produce, fishmonger, butcher, etc.)
• Keep up-to-date on the latest culinary trends and fads
• Menu planning for principals, dinner parties and small events
• Coordinate cooking and serving times with principals and domestic employees
• Create lists, order ingredients, and shop for fresh foods
• Professional presence and experience in food presentation and table setting is mandatory
• All food preparation and kitchen related duties along with grocery shopping
• High standards of health and hygiene with food
• Properly storing ingredients and leftovers
• Clean and tidy kitchen after each use
• Maintain all kitchen equipment
• Interactions with extended family, friends and business associates for holiday meals, lunches and events at residences
• Provide hospitality and service to visitors and guests (including formal service when hosting small private events)
• Ensure pantry, refrigerator, and wine cellar are properly stocked in accordance with principals’ travel and entertaining schedules
• Ability to travel domestically whenever necessary
• Highly organized, detail oriented, proactive, excellent time management, efficient, and service focused
• Attentive to principals’ preferences and style (intuitive to their needs)
• Ability to maintain discretion (confidentiality agreement is required)

• Seeking longevity / long term commitment (e.g., at least 2-5+ years commitment)
• Comfortable working around extended family (children and grandchildren) and small hypoallergenic dog (Poodle)
• $225K+ gross annual salary (based on experience and qualifications)
• Gross overtime rate of time and a half (41+ hours per week)
