Oracle HCM / Reporting Consultant

Location: San Francisco, CA

Work Model: Hybrid 3 Days Onsite per Week

Contract Duration: 12+ Months

Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking an Oracle HCM / Reporting Consultant on behalf of our client in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), BI Publisher (BIP), and SQL .

This role will focus on gathering reporting requirements, developing and optimizing reports and dashboards, validating data, troubleshooting reporting issues, and providing knowledge transfer to business and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document reporting requirements from business stakeholders and functional SMEs.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy OTBI reports, analyses, and dashboards .

• Develop BI Publisher reports , including data models, SQL queries, templates, layouts, bursting, scheduling, and parameters.

• Determine the appropriate reporting solution using OTBI or BI Publisher based on business, performance, formatting, and data requirements.

• Develop OTBI prompts, filters, calculated columns, measures, drill-downs, and interactive dashboards.

• Validate and reconcile report outputs against source data and business requirements.

• Troubleshoot data discrepancies, report failures, and performance issues.

• Optimize OTBI and BI Publisher reports for performance and scalability.

• Collaborate with Oracle HCM functional teams, technical teams, SMEs, and business stakeholders.

• Create technical documentation, report designs, data mappings, test results, and knowledge-transfer materials.

• Train business users on OTBI self-service reporting and support IT teams with BI Publisher development and maintenance .

• Support reporting changes related to Oracle Fusion Cloud updates.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM reporting .

• Extensive experience developing Oracle OTBI reports, analyses, and dashboards .

• Strong expertise in Oracle BI Publisher (BIP) development.

• Experience with:

  • OTBI subject areas, prompts, filters, and calculated columns

  • Dashboards and drill-down reporting

  • BI Publisher data models

  • Complex SQL queries

  • RTF, Excel, and PDF layouts

  • Bursting and report scheduling

  • Parameterized reports

  • Report troubleshooting and performance tuning

• Strong understanding of Oracle HCM data structures and reporting subject areas .

• Experience with report testing, validation, reconciliation, and data troubleshooting.

• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable reporting solutions.

• Strong communication, documentation, stakeholder-management, and knowledge-transfer skills.
