Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a large-scale enterprise database environment.

The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in Oracle database administration, backup and recovery, clustering, high availability, disaster recovery, database troubleshooting, upgrades, patching, and performance support. Experience supporting additional relational database technologies is highly desirable.

• Administer, monitor, maintain, and support enterprise Oracle database environments.

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle database software and related components.

• Manage Oracle Grid Infrastructure and clustered database environments.

• Perform database backup, recovery, and restoration using Oracle RMAN .

• Create, configure, and maintain standalone and clustered database environments.

• Monitor database availability, performance, capacity, and overall health.

• Troubleshoot database performance, connectivity, configuration, and production issues.

• Perform root-cause analysis, issue triage, and problem resolution.

• Design and support High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.

• Develop and maintain SQL and PL/SQL scripts for database administration and automation.

• Perform server maintenance, database upgrades, software installations, and patch management.

• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, engineering, and operations teams.

• Maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards.

• Extensive experience as an Oracle Database Administrator

• Strong expertise with Oracle Database

• Oracle Grid Infrastructure

• Oracle RMAN

• SQL and SQL scripting

• PL/SQL

• SQL Server

• SQL Server Clustering

• Database backup and recovery

• High Availability and Disaster Recovery

• Database performance monitoring and troubleshooting

• Database installation, upgrades, and patching

• Production database support

• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills

Experience with one or more of the following technologies is preferred:

• PostgreSQL

• MySQL

• MariaDB

• Microsoft SQL Server

• Microsoft Access

• Database automation and scripting

• Enterprise monitoring and performance-management tools

• Significant hands-on experience managing enterprise Oracle database environments.

• Ability to serve as a technical SME for complex database issues and initiatives.

• Strong understanding of database architecture, security, performance, availability, and recovery.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and management.

• Ability to work independently as well as within cross-functional teams.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Must be available to participate in an in-person interview .
